日本郵船グループのシンガポールのNYK Bulkship (Asia) Pte.Ltd.が保有するメタノール専用船‟TAKAROA SUN”の環境性能が評価され、シンガポール海事港湾庁（MPA）から、Singapore International Maritime Awardsにおける『SRS Green Ship of the Year Award』を初めて受賞した。日本郵船が2021年４月20日発表した。
『SRS Green Ship of the Year Award』は、高い環境性能を持ったシンガポール籍船の船主に贈られる賞で、NYK Bulkship（Asia）社が保有する‟TAKAROA SUN”は重油だけでなく環境負荷の低いメタノールも燃料として使用可能な二元燃料エンジンを搭載していることが高い評価を受けたという。
‟TAKAROA SUN”は建造費の一部にグリーンローンにより調達した資金を充てている。
Singapore Maritime Weekの開会式が４月19日、Ong Ye Kung運輸大臣の出席のもとMarina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centreで行われ、Chee Hong Tat上級外務大臣がSpecial Mention AwardとしてNYK Bulkship（Asia）社の岸剛史Managing Directorに表彰状を贈った。
Singapore International Maritime Awardsは９部門に分けられており、日本郵船グループの受賞歴は2012年のNYK Shipmanagement Pte Ltd（シンガポール）が受賞した『Excellence in Training Development Award』および2015年のNYK Group South Asia Pte Ltd（シンガポール）が受賞した『International Maritime Centre (Corporate) Award』で、今回は６年ぶり３度目の受賞となった。
